| HOW TO BECOME A CRAFTSMANSHIP JUDGE |
|
An essential component of the Craftsmanship Awards process is the participation of evaluators who volunteer their time for Judging Day. As a knowledgeable representative of the building industry, we would like to invite you to participate as a judge for the 2006 Craftsmanship Awards program. Both you and other interested members of your firm are encouraged to serve as “expert evaluators” in one of the categories listed on the judge sign-up form. Evaluation of this year’s nominated projects will take place on Thursday, January 18, 2007. All evaluators will meet for breakfast on January 18 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant, Tysons Galleria Mall, 2001 International Drive, McLean, Virginia. At that time, you will meet the other judges on your team and receive an evaluation packet detailing the five to seven projects your team will view that day. After a short overview of the evaluation process, teams will visit each site, evaluate the entry independently and submit their findings in a sealed envelope to the designated team leader. It is our intention to have the evaluations completed by mid-to-late afternoon, with all evaluation sheets returned to the onsite WBC representative by 5:00 p.m. that day at the Maggiano’s. We are certain that you and your colleagues will want to join us in making the 2007 Craftsmanship Awards a memorable event as we "Celebrate Quality Craftsmanship." Thank you for your consideration of this special request and for your commitment to promoting quality craftsmanship in all building trades. At this
moment, we are no longer accepting volunteers |
