This is a joint presentation with Balfour Beatty, HGA, and Kirlin Design Build explaining how we are using lean tools and processes to improve the way we work together on design and preconstruction: using lean ideas to develop stronger teams and to drive schedule reliability; how to implement pull planning and track progress; cloud-based model collaboration with trade partners, including shared drafting/production responsibilities; and metrics demonstrating reduced cost and time from using a unified workflow for model development. Our case study is a joint project that had a very tight schedule with fast-track design packages and a complex GSA review process.
