Capital Area Food Bank Volunteer Opportunity
WBC is providing 5 volunteers on August 19 to sort and pack food at the Capital Area Food Bank’s DC distribution center. The volunteer community is one of the charitable organization’s most important resources. Each year, volunteers save the food bank millions of dollars while helping to feed the DMV community. The WBC Community Services Committee is planning a new volunteer opportunities for the Fall.

We are looking for volunteers (limit to 5 volunteers per month) to help on:
Saturday, August 19 - 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old!
COVID-19 Waiver:
All volunteers MUST sign a COVID-19 Waiver form to be turned at the food bank on the day of service. Volunteer under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by parent or legal guardian. In accordance with the DC Government and/or CDC recommendations, all volunteers MUST BE VACCINATED and are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times in the facility over their mouth and nose. Due to a limited supply of masks and Capital Area Food Bank is asking volunteers bring their own if possible. All volunteers, guests, and staff are required to have their temperature taken by touchless scanner when entering our facilities.
