Learn the basic concepts of Lean Construction through two hands-on simulation activities and hear how a mid-size company implemented Lean principles to enhance efficiency and productivity by deploying simple, low-cost techniques, and how they mobilized their workforce to identify and eliminate waste. Lean construction is a project delivery process that uses Lean methods of maximizing stakeholder value while reducing waste by emphasizing collaboration between teams on a project. The goal of Lean construction is to increase productivity, profits, and innovation in the industry. The group will also be touring the Shapiro & Duncan state-of-the-art prefabrication facility.
