Joining the Washington Building Congress gives you the power to effect change in your industry. It lets you establish relationships with the decision makers who utilize your products and services, and it gives you access to the kind of topical news and information you cannot find elsewhere. Any company, partnership, association, agency, or individual with an active interest or involvement in the commercial real estate, design, and construction industry in National Capital region will benefit from membership in the association.

WBC members include accountants, architects, bankers, bonding agents, consultants, developers, engineers, general contractors, government officials, insurance agents, labor unions, lawyers, manufacturer’s representatives, property managers, public utilities, realtors, small businesses, subcontractors, suppliers, trade associations.  


Company $1,000 – Includes two firm representatives who receive all membership publications and benefits, and who are listed in the Industry Index and online membership directories.  A company listing and 50-word description is also included in the Index, as well as 10 product/service categories.

Additional Representatives $100 for up to 5 (for company membership only) – Add up to five additional representatives who will receive all membership publications and benefits, as well as a listing in the membership directories.  There is no limit to the number of additional representatives a company can add (i.e. $100 for up to 5, $200 for up to 10, etc.)

Small Business $500 –  Certified businesses and individuals can join the association under this classification and receive all of the benefits of a full company member.  Please contact WBC with further questions regarding this category.

Government/Institution $100 – Any person employed by a government agency or holding a position in an institution, university or trade association. These individuals receive all membership publications and benefits, as well as a listing in the Industry Index and online directories. 

Emeritus/Retired $50 – For individuals who have officially retired and would like to continue to be part of the association and active in the industry.  These individuals receive all membership publication and benefits, as well as an individual listing in the Industry Index and online directories.

Note: The association’s membership/fiscal year runs October 1 to September 30, with annual renewal payments due September 30. New members who join during the current fiscal year will be prorated for the new membership year.
