Building with Pride: LGBTQIA in the AEC Industry Thursday, June 22, 2023 (3pm - 5pm US/Eastern) SmithGroup Office 1700 New York Ave NW [map] Suite 100 Washington, DC

During this event, we'll look to learn from the experience of our LGBTQIA industry members and from each other. To accomplish this, we will start off with a panel discussion and continue the conversation through break-out groups:

Panel: Leaders in different parts of the industry (architects, engineers, contractors) will share their stories and insights via a panel facilitated by us, WBC’s DE+I team. We’ll hear about moments when our panelists felt included and the realities of moments when that did not happen. Along with that, we'll learn about how their identity influences their day-to-day work and how it's helped them navigate this industry and personal life.

Break-out Discussion: After the panel, we’ll have guided discussions via break-out groups with our panelists. This will give attendants the opportunity to inquire, challenge, and validate within their groups.
