WBC hosted the Wage Theft, Fraud, Fair Labor Standards and Your Company Webinar presented by Cozen O’Connor’s Debra Friedman and Larry Prosen.

Did you know that under DC, Maryland and Virginia law, upper tier subcontractors and prime contractors are potentially liable for the failure of their lower-tier subcontractor to properly pay and classify their workers? Under various laws, which started out of California, many jurisdictions have passed statutes that hold those in an upper tier contractual positions jointly and severally liable for wage theft and misclassification.

The webinar discussed the overall law and regulations on employee versus independent contractors; wage theft laws and other related issues.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2022 WBC Craftsmanship Awards winners!

We received 198 nominations throughout the ten entry categories this year. It is with great pride that we recognize the men and women who have shown their work to be truly outstanding.

The skill of the craftsmen involved with these winning entries exemplifies the high standards upon which Craftsmanship Awards was founded. The Craftsmanship Awards banquet will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel on Friday, June 3, 2022. The awards program was created to provide recognition to those craftsmen who, because of exceptional workmanship and individual effort, deserve such an honor.

Please visit the WINNERS page for a complete list.
